John is an American author, writer, a Marine veteran, and public speaker whose work spans multiple genres including military-inspired nonfiction, fiction, leadership, short stories and much more. His writing often explores intense themes of combat, leadership, and human resilience, drawing on firsthand military experience to inform both his narrative voice and subject matter. 

Houldin’s recent published titles include works such as The Exfil Doctrine, The Tasking of Leadership, Warrior Days, and Operation Piccadilly, each reflecting his blend of strategic insight and storytelling.
